      EFI Live: How To Load a '.ctz' File

       

      PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DOING ANY WORK ON THE VEHICLE.

      *IMPORTANT* IF YOUR IS A 2001-2010 DURAMAX: Please pull your stock file BEFORE loading your new file to the vehicle:
      **IF A STOCK FILE IS NEEDED AND IT WAS NOT PULLED BEFORE LOADING YOUR TUNE FILE, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO GET A STOCK FILE BUILT FOR YOUR VEHICLE**


      Pulling A Stock File (ONLY 2001-2010 Duramax):

      • On Autocal V3(7 buttons on front with 4 arrows): Go to TUNE TOOL > TUNING > READ TUNE.
      • On Autocal V2(3 buttons on the front "Prev", "Okay", & "Next"): Press NEXT until your see "READ [your ecm type(ie. 'E35A' is for a LBZ Duramax)]"
      • Connect your AutoCal to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Before you begin loading your custom tunes onto your AutoCal, you must first click HERE to download and install the EFILive V8 software for your PC.

      Loading the file onto your device:

      Step 1
      Please make sure the latest version of EFI Live V8 is installed by going to https://www.efilive.com/

      Step 2
      Plug in your device and then open the Efi live Explorer program (shown below).

      Step 3
      Make sure the Tune folder is selected (shown below) and then drag and drop the file into the space on the write under Filename. It should say Operation in Progress until the file has loaded on.


      Step 4
      Open your EFI Live Scan and Tune Program from your Desktop (image below)

      Step 5
      Select F5: BBX on the left side of the screen

      Step 6
      When this window has opened select the "Open" button in the bottom left, the window below should open: If you own a 2006+ Cummins, select Options_Cummins_Diesel OR If you own a 2001-2016 GM Diesel, select Options_GM_Diesel and Open it

      Step 7
      You will have one of two lists come up under BBL Enable Controllers (shown in images below this step)

      YOU WILL NEED TO UNCHECK EVERY BOX EXCEPT FOR THE BOX THAT CORRELATES TO YOUR VEHICLE (REFER TO LIST BELOW)

      CMB - 2006-2007 5.9l CUMMINS                      LB7 (E54) - 2001-2004
      CMC - 2007-2009 6.7l CUMMINS  LLY (E60 - 2004.5-2005
      CMD - 2010-2012 CUMMINS LBZ (E35A) - 2006-2007
      CME - 2013-2018 CUMMINS LMM (E35B) - 2007.5-2010
        E86A - 2011-2014

      Step 8
      Now Select F3: TUNE in the top left and repeat (uncheck every box except the box that correlates with your vehicle)

      Step 9
      Click the button with the red down arrow that says PROGRAM

      Step 10
      Once it has been programmed, unplug your device and take it to the vehicle. Plug it in, turn the vehicle to the run position, engine off.

      Programming File to Vehicle

      Step 1
      Turn the key to the run position and plug the Autocal Device into the OBD-II port.

      Step 2
      Navigate to TUNE TOOL > TUNING > PROGRAM FULL
      Then highlight the file you wish to load and select the checkmark and follow any prompts on the screen. A green progress bar will come up across the bottom of the screen once it starts loading.

      IF YOU HAVE A 2007.5-2012 6.7L CUMMINS
      You will need to load the Preload file before loading the CSP5 file.



      Step 3
      Once the file has finished installing and you follow any additional prompts, you can unplug the device and start the vehicle.
