L5P Message Reset Process

Process to attempt to clear the message on the L5P Dash

It is important to note that we do not control the Dash with tuning, but a majority of vehicles this will work. 

Please verify that the throttle body is plugged in our your L5P as something as simple as that can also cause the message.

  1. Verify the NOX sensors and DEF tank is plugged in as it should be at stock.
  2. Fill DEF tank until it is at least 50% full if its empty or low.
  3. Flash stock file in ECM.
  4. Go into VCM Scanner and clear codes.
  5. Flash your file back into the truck.
  6. Remove battery ground cables.
  7. Unplug the correlated plugs where CAN Bus Plugs should be connected and connect the CAN bus plugs found HERE (17-19 Trucks) or HERE (20+ trucks)
  8. Hook up battery cables.
  9. Start the vehicle and check for the message on the dash.
